Please find below PEFAA final proposal for the works to be executed under E76 batch funding for your concurrence.
While appreciating the generous contribution of E 76 batch for the substantial contribution towards our beloved faculty’s diamond Jubilee projects, we express our sincere thanks to the flexibility shown by the E 76 batch,towards agreeing to funding pressing needs to make the faculty’s ambiance great, for the students to make their stay at the faculty memorable.
As already informed, we were planning to do the procurement during the month of December 2024, to take advantage of the generous discounts offered during the festive season.
Bids were invited in early Dec 2024 and once the process was completed, the New Dean – Prof Lilantha Samaranaya, informed us that VC has agreed to allocate funds for rehabilitation of 4 wash rooms ( Two Near the Lecture room # 09 – New Structures lab and the Two near the New library) and that bids will be called on 31 12 2025 at a total budget of Rs. 10.4 m.Dean also requested us to undertake the refurbishing of the 4 single compartment wash rooms in the admin building with the savings.
As a result the material lists had to be re-worked out and bid evaluation was completed on 31 12 2024.
The E 86 batch , which was to fund the male toilet block near the library agreed to fund the Admin building two Ground Floor wash rooms refurbishing (agreed last sunday – 09 02 2025) and we hereby request E 76 batch to undertake the admin building two 1st floor washrooms, as those shall be in a good state at the time of Diamond Jubilee celebrations beginning from 1st. july 2025.
Therefore the final financial scenario for the available E 76 batch funds will be as follows;

The E 87 batch funded male wash room work near Do1 will commence in a weeks time and once that is completed the E 76 funded wash room near DO2 and admin building 1st Floor wash rooms work will begin in March 2025.. ( From March 10 to April 24 there will be very few students in the faculty and on 24th. April 2025, five batches will be inducted to the faculty and so we want to finish all wash rooms related work by 20 April 2025).
